Below are the tonal characteristics of the different variant:
- Bolt Namitsuke Shime Daiko (approx. 35cm diameter): Produces a balanced and soft tone.
- Bolt Nichoukake (approx. 36cm diameter): Tighter than the Namitsuke, resulting in a higher-pitched timbre.
- Bolt Sanchoukake (approx. 37cm diameter): Delivers a powerful and clear sound.
- Bolt Yonchoukake (approx. 38cm diameter): The tightest of all, producing an extremely high and powerful tone.
Each drum size offers a distinct character, allowing performers to choose the most suitable sound for their performance needs.
